Cinemate voltage problems

Hi, I have a bose cinemate, which was purchased in the US, but is used in the UK via a US/UK transformer, my wife decided to buy a 'smaller, nicer looking' transformer, which is not a transformer at all and has put 240v through a 110v rated appliance and killed it, is there anyway to repair/reset it or is it done? This will pull up the phone number for you local service group. Please give them a call and see if they can assist.
