Connecting my Bose Soundbar 500 to a projector

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased an Optoma UHD 40 projector, and I wanted to connect it to my sound bar, the projector has two HDMI outputs and I thought that was gonna be the setup that I needed, one HDMI cable from my laptop to the projector, and another from the projector to the sound bar, unfortunately that wasn't working.

If someone could please give me any tips on how to connect my projector to the sound bar I would really appreciate it. There's an S/PDIF port and an audio out port in my projector.

Hi Balshawaf,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.

I would recommend using an Optical cable to connect into the S/PDIF to the Soundbar.
