Thanks for the post. That is an interesting question. I was able to confirm that the optical connection will override any other connection to the sound bar.
Not 100% it will default to whatever input is connected att power on. The question is the solotv 5 tv has a remote with an input selector would you be able to changer inputs on the solo with the solo 5 TV Remote?
