Is solo 5 TV soundbar compatible to use in India - 220 - 240 V

Planning to take my bose solo 5 TV speaker to India. Do I need to use any step down convertor or the normal adapter to plug in US plug works? Has anyone tried this in India. Please share the comments

Re: Is solo 5 TV soundbar compatible to use in India - 220 - 240 V

Hi Nanax,

Thanks for the question!  All of the new Solo systems are dual voltage, which means they can be plugged in anywhere in the world.  The only thing you will need is a plug adapter so you can plug into mains.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thanks a lot for your response !! This model is from 2016, so is it still compatible to use?

Hi Nanax,

Yup!

If you would like to confirm this on your own, take a look at the sticker on the back of the Solo system.  The voltage should be listed as 100-240V 50-60Hz.  This goes for any electronic devices you are bringing over; you can usually find the voltage rating on the device near the power plug.

Best,

Brandon

Hi Suganya,

My apologies!

The Solo 5 uses a power brick, and the voltage would be listed there.

But for an example, you see where it says "Power"?  Above there, it shows Input: 20V (which is 20 volts).  You'll see something similar on the power brick.

Best,

Brandon
