Media center 20 stays warm after it is shut down...normal?

Is it normal for the life style 30 series ll media center 20 to stay warm after it is turned off? My original bit the dust years ago and I just had it refurbished. I don't remember if it was designed to stay in standby mode when shutdown. I noticed that it is always just a little warm to the touch on the top surface even turned off.

Thanks.....David W.

Hello Stellgar,

Yes the media center goes into standby mode so being slightly warm is normal.

Stays about 15° f. warmer than ambient room temp... standby runs about 85° on the top of the unit.

The aux and video indicators are still dim but readable. The cd works great again and all other indicators light up nice and bright.

Sent this out of town to be reworked, might send it back to have the aux and video inicators looked at, but then again...

Thanks

Hello Stellgar,

It is normal for the product to be warm when plugged in. However, at no time should it be too hot to touch. The power transformer, located within the component or power supply, will be warm after being plugged it for a few minutes.
