We've had our Solo 5 working fine for a couple of months now, but today it started intermittently cutting out. It's inconsistent, but probably happens once every two minutes for a split second.
It's done it while we have watched TV through Youview and while watching something through the PS4. I've checked the optical cables and they're both firmly in. Tried turning off and on again.

Thank you for reaching out Ben. There are a couple of troubleshooting steps we can take.
1. Let's reset the system by unplugging it for a full five minutes.
2. Let's update the software HERE.
3. Let's try streaming some music through Bluetooth on a phone/tablet to compare the results and see if it is happening with all sources.

Mine started doing the same thing after using it for two months.
The unit was returned to Bose for repair as they refused to replaced.
It worked for a week and started acting up again.
So what happened to your unit ?
