Hi Darryl,

Thank you for your response. This information is helpful.

Let's try the following steps:

  • Unplug the SoundDock 10 from power for 1 minute, then reconnect.
  • Reboot your Samsung S7 phone
  • Retest.

It the issue is still persistent, let's try the following:

  • Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Select the Settings Wheel icon, next to the Bose Bluetooth Dock
  • Select UNPAIR.
  • Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the dock or the dock button on the remote control, for approximately 5-7 seconds, until the Bluetooth light starts pulsing slowly.
  • In your phone's Bluetooth settings, select the Bose Bluetooth Dock.
  • Retest the connection.

Please let us know if these steps help!

Best regards,

Brian - Bose Support

Re: Sounddock 10 software upgrade

From the Bose.com website, click "Support" at the top-right of the page, click "Docking Speakers", click "SoundDock 10 System" - a link for system updates is to the right of the picture of the SoundDock 10. (you will need to download the Bose Updater and follow the instructions)

Re: Sounddock 10 software upgrade

Hi Afterwords,

Let us know if the software update doesn't help. There's a lot of troubleshooting we can do to get this resolved if the update doesn't fix it.

Kind Regards

Re: Sounddock 10 software upgrade

Hi Brent

Thank you for your e mail.
So after purchasing a lead and proceeded to upgrade i get a error saying, "Your Bose product is not supported by this updater. Contact technical support"
Talk about being deflated, thought i could nail this one down.

Any ideas on what to do next?

Thank you so much.

Re: Sounddock 10 software upgrade

Hi Afterwords,

Thank you for responding. I looked into this further and there was only one software update available (from 2014) that corrected an issue where some systems reboot after 30 minutes without use instead of entering standby. Let's try some steps to see if we can fix this as I don't believe updating the software will be the resolution. Curiously, what is the make and model of the device you are using to play music to the SoundDock? Do the cut outs go away if you move this device closer to the system? Have you tried to pair a second Bluetooth device to the SoundDock to see if the same issue happens? Can you try to unplug the system, remove and re-seat the Bluetooth dock, reconnect power, and re-test? Please let us know.

Kind Regards

Re: Sounddock 10 software upgrade

Hi Brent.
I have a Samsung s7 connected via bluetooth which normally sits next to my Bose stereo when playing. I have in the past connected my wifes S7 as well and unfortunately it presents the same fault.

This system was originally the docking method until i purchased the bluetooth adapter. Worked fine for ages with older phones but recently its playing up.
Hope this helps.
Thank you Brent
