bose cinemate digital home theatre speaker system

Hi there guys.
Quick question...
Is the bose cinemate digital home theatre speaker system consider as active speakers?
This is the old one with only a phono input....
I was thinking of using a phono pre-amp with trebel and bass level controls.
Example.
Audio from the tv into the pre-amp and out to the bose interface module..
Would it work?

Hello Nunosantos,

Thanks for your question. The Cinemate is a powered speaker system so you can connect any line-level signal. It sounds like what you want to do is use a switcher so you can play multiple devices through the Cinemate. This will not be a problem! As long as it has an RCA audio output from the switcher you'll be able to connect to the Cinemate. Hope this helps.
