Re: 901 Lifestyle

Hello Coyotejd,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community!  I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulty with your Lifestyle 901, I would be more than happy to assist you with this today. Does this issue occur with all sources? Have you checked all the cables are still correctly connected? Are the cables damaged at all?

In the meantime, I would suggest doing a product reset:

  1. Turn the system off
  2. Unplug the music center power supply from the power outlet
  3. Unplug the audio input cable from the music center
  4. Turn the power stand off
  5. Unplug the power stand power cord from the power outlet
  6. Unplug the audio input cable from the power stand. Wait 30 seconds
  7. Reconnect the audio input cable to the power stand
  8. Reconnect the audio input cable to the music center
  9. Reconnect the power stand power cord
  10. Turn the power stand on
  11. Reconnect the music center power supply
  12. Retest the system

I hope this helps, I look forward to hearing from you!

Kindest regards,

Zoe C - Community Support

Re: 901 Lifestyle

Thanks Zoe!  I followed the suggestion and the speaker was still reproducing very volume.  I also checked through different sources, all with the same result.  It's hard to determine if it's the music center or the amplifirer. The wire is original, but it has been in place for some time and is free from entanglement.

The he speaker with the issue is the non Amp speaker.

Any my other help would be appreciated.

Re: 901 Lifestyle

Hello Coyotejd,

Thanks for getting back in touch, have you tried using radio that is built into the system? It might be the cables do you have any other spare cables that you might be able to try to test?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Kindest regards,

Re: 901 Lifestyle

Hello Coyotejd,

I am sorry that you are still having difficulty, there is no more troubleshooting that we could offer and regrettably the system is no longer serviceable so I would not be able to assist you further. However, I would encourage other members of the community to offer any ideas or advise they might have or you could call the customer care team to discuss this further.

I am sorry I have not been able to assist you further on this occasion.

Kindest regards,

Zoe C

Re: 901 Lifestyle

Zoe,

just st wanted to say thanks for your help.  While I was reluctant just swapping for new cables it was exactly the correct answer for my problem ($25).  These speakers mean so much. Thank you again!

Re: 901 Lifestyle

I believe I need a new CD/receiver for my lifestyle 901 system.  What models can I use to replace the original?  The serial number is CDM20A108288.

Thanks,

John

Hi there!

Thank you for coming back to us!

As we do not currently manufacture anything that would be suitable, you will need to look into a replacement from a third party. Due to this, we will be unable to recommend a specific model.
