Thank you very much for your message, welcome to the community!
I am very sorry that you are unable to connect your Solo 5 to your Mi 4a Pro Tv. Have you been able to attempt connecting via Coaxial or HDMI?
Please let us know how you get on!

Thanks for reaching out today and welcome to the Bose Community Forums.
Can I please ask which connection points you are trying to use to connect the Soundbar to the TV?
Thanks for getting back in touch, I am sorry the link that you have sent does not seem to be working on my end. Please could you try sending it again or let me know in your next message how you are connected from your Soundbar to your TV?
I look forward to hearing from you!
I have been able to look at the link you have sent and it does appear that there is HDMI ARC connection available to be used. I would recommend trying to find this on the TV connections on the back (it should be labeled) then connecting the Solo Soundbar this way. I have also attached some helpful images for you of what the HDMI cable should look like and what the HDMI ARC connection on the TV should also look like.
I hope this helps, please let me know how you get on!
Many thanks for getting back in touch.
I'd like to apologize for this oversight by my colleague.
There are two digital inputs on the Solo 5, Optical and Digital Coaxial. These are the best ports if you wish to achieve the best audio quality from the speaker. The Xiaomi TV uses Digital Coaxial as the connection output (which is actually just digital Coaxial.) Using one of these cables will enable you to achieve the connection.
I hope this helps!
