Bose 321 series II hdmi input

I have a Bose 321 series ii and no HDMI input to connect with my new Xfinity cable box. I tried a hdmi to rca converter but the video does not come through. I love the Bose system and want to keep it. Please help!

I made a guide to help people use a 321 system with modern HDTV's and equipment. I would not recommend using an HDMI to composite converter and there are many other options that will help.

Hopefully, this will help answer your question. Please let us know what you end up doing 🙂

Re: Bose 321 series II hdmi input

Hello Kscramer,

Thanks for posting. Welcome to the site!

I recommend connecting the 321 as an audio-device and any HDMI-based connections such as your Xfinity box should be connected directly to an HDMI port on your TV. Providing the TV has an optical port, you will be able to route audio through your TV to the 321 system. Instructions for assigning the optical port can be found here.

I hope this helps!
