Bose Lifestyle V 30 SA-2 and SA-3 stereo amplifiers remain on standby

I'm getting the blinking green light (blink with a 3 second space and another blink).  ]

How do I get them off standby and on and working?

Bumping to the top to see if anyone has any suggestions.

I also have 5 speakers for surround sound but only the center one is giving sound off.

Wondering if that problem is connected to the amphlifiers on standby?

Hello Rob T,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community! I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Lifestyle V30 SA-2 and SA-3, I would be more than happy to help you out today! I am not sure what you mean by the green light is blinking? As this could indicate normal function, could you provide a picture? In the meantime, I would recommend restting the speaker and checking that you have the correct firmware, the correct firmware should be:

Console - 020303

Bass Box  - 010700

VS-2 Firmware -  050018

Tuner -  010300

Reset your Lifestyle system by following these steps:

  1. Turn the system off. Wait until “Saving your settings” disappears from the display
  2. Unplug the media console power cord from the power outlet
  3. Unplug the audio input cable from the media console
  4. Unplug the Acoustimass module power cord from the power outlet
  5. Unplug the audio input cable from the Acoustimass module. Wait 30 seconds
  6. Reconnect the audio input cable to the Acoustimass module
  7. Reconnect the audio input cable to the media console
  8. Reconnect the Acoustimass module power cord
  9. Reconnect the media console power cord
  10. Wait for the words "Bose Lifestyle" to appear and disappear from the display before turning the system back on
  11. Retest the system

Reset your media console by following these steps:

  1. Turn the media console off. Wait until “Saving your settings” disappears from the display
  2. Unplug the media console power cord from the power outlet. Wait 30 seconds
  3. Reconnect the power cord
  4. Wait for the words "Bose Lifestyle" to appear and disappear from the display before turning the system back on
  5. Retest the system

To determine the software version:

  1. Power off your system
  2. On the system display, press and hold the Center button until House Code appears on the display
  3. While holding the Center button, repeatedly press the Power button (on the far left) to scroll to software info:
    • When CONSOLE SOFTWARE appears, the system console version is shown
    • When BASS BOX SOFTWARE appears, the Acoustimass bass module version is shown
  4. To exit the menu, release the Center button, then press the Power button

I hope this helps, I look forward to hearing from you!

Kind regards,
