Bose solo 5

I have a Samsung TV and I am trying to hook up a Bose Solo 5 soundbar to it. I also have a Roku Premiere that I have hooked up to the TV. I do not have cable on this TV. I cant get sound thru the sound bar...I've shut off speakers on TV. Is there something I need to be doing on the Bose remote
