I recently bought a Soundbar 700 and an Epson projector which I was hoping to use with my AppleTV. I thought that it would be simple but am running into unanticipated issues - I am getting no sound.
Here is the setup - Apple tv has only one hdmi output which I am using for both soundbar and projector:
2. AppleTV hdmi cable ---> hdmi splitter
3. Hdmi splitter --> projector (image is great no problem here)
4. hdmi splitter --> bose soundbar into hdmi ARC port.
Am I doing something wrong?

If your projector has extra HDMI input you should plug the Apple TV on it.
Then your projector ARC HDMI to the soundbar.
if your projector doesn’t have arc / multiple port then buy a different HDMI splitter with one HDMI input and one HDMI output + optical output.
Then connect Apple TV to splitter in HDMI. Splitter to projector in HDMI.
and finally optical output from splitter to optical input on soundbar.

Connect your projector to Apple TV directly using a shortest HDMI cable possible.
Connect Apple TV to Bose 700 using Airplay2
This is how my setup works without any issues, no cables, and the audio quality is great too!
