Dolby Atmos

I Currently I have a 5.1 system with:
VSC -10 as a center channel
701 Series 2's as left, right and sub
301 Sonata’s as left , right rear speakers

I also have 2 unused 161 speakers and 2, 201 Series 3 speakers that I use with my computer (also, 1 have some old grey plastic center channel I used before the VCS-10 came out). I use the 201's because I feel a richer sound being so close to the speakers on the desktop than the 161's.

My question is if I use the 161's as height speakers between the front speaker and listener should they be mounted horizontally or vertically. If horizontally should they angle up to the ceiling for bounce or towards the listener, and should the curve be towards the listener. If placed vertically should they angle toward the listener and curve up to the ceiling for bounce or to the listener.

I would appreciate any assistance anyone can give me because being retired a new receiver is possible but a receiver and Atmos speakers is out of the budget.
