Hotelroom noise cancelling

Dear all,

I work for a hotel in the centre of Amsterdam and part of our hotel has a monumental status. This means 2 things. 1) the surroundings of our hotel are pretty noisy and 2) we are not allowed to install proper soundproof windows in these parts of the building.

Does anyone know if noise cancelling is possible for this situation? I can imagine a possibility to install a microphone just outside of the window and speakers inside next to the window.

Anyone?

Thanks in advance

Bert

I read your question 2 times and am not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish.  If you work for a hotel, why do you want to make a hotel room sound proof?

Re: Hotelroom noise cancelling

Theoretically, that sounds like something that might be feasible.  Or, just give your guest a pair of noise cancelling headphones to wear while they are there.  In reality, neither sounds like a good idea.

Perhaps to make it more comfortable for our guests?
