Lifestyle 12 System

I have an older Lifestyle 12 Surround System and would like to know if there is a way to connect it to a new Samsung TV that has HDMI outlets.

It looks like there were two versions of Lifestyle 12 made: 

• Lifestyle 12
• Lifestyle 12 II

Which version do you have?

Looking at the manual, it appears that the series I only has RCA stereo inputs. While the series II features digital coax in addition to stereo.

I went to Best Buy and they suggested an Optical/Coax Digital-to Analog Converter with a Digital Optical Audio Cable and it worked out well. My 20+ year old Lifestyle 12 system is working with my new Samsung TV.
