The attempts to deal with my particular problem seemed to hit a wall with the picture cleared up but not the sound. Front and centre speaker interruptions continue and the decision has been made to replace the system. I suggested that this was a hardware problem but that part of the issue has not been clarified, so if the replacement works well, we may never know why my system didn't fully recover.
You can only use the audio portion, only if the audio is not involved in the problem. In my system both were compromised and the video portion was fixed, but the audio has not been resolved and Bose is giving up and offering replacement.
