Hello Thamal,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Bose Community.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing some partial audio issues with your Acoustimass 6 III system.

I would advise checking the condition of the speaker wires and be sure that they are securely connected at each end. Check for kinks, scratches, or cuts. Replace any wires that have visible defects. Verify that the connectors are firmly seated to the correct output and speaker inputs.

For troubleshooting purposes, could you please switch the front left speaker with another speaker and let me know if the problem stays in the front left channel or follows the speaker to the new channel.

Please let me know the results of these steps.

Warm regards,

Charlotte G - Community Support

Re: No sound from front left speaker

Hi Thamal,

Thank you for getting back to us regarding your Acoustimass 6 III System. I am sorry to hear this persists.

What I would next recommend is that you switch the speaker wires on the output of the Acoustimass Module. At the Acoustimass module connection panel, switch the connector of the speaker that may not be working properly with the one that is working properly. If the problem stays with the same speaker, the speaker wire is defective. Replace the speaker wire. Be sure the connectors are returned to their original jacks.

From this you can also continue to after testing via the Acoustimass Module to switch the speaker wires on the output of the receiver. At the back of the receiver, switch the connection of the speaker wire that may not be working properly with one that is working properly.

Please let us know how you get on and if you have any further questions!

Warm regards,

Tegan M

Re: No sound from front left speaker

Thank you very much for your reply. By switching speakers wires I came to know both middle and left speaker wires from module to speakers were defective. And all wires from receiver to module were working properly. I think I have to replace those defective wires. Thank you very much.

Re: No sound from front left speaker

I have the same issue.  I bought my Acoustimass 6 III system 5 years ago.  I've kept it in meticulous condition.  The other night while watching a movie, I noticed it didn't sound right.  I discovered the left front speaker not working.  I did some troubleshooting and I am sure the component port it plugs into is bad.  I swapped other speakers and they all work.  Only when I plug a speaker into the left front port does it not work.  Is there any fix for this?  I really do not want to spend a lot more money for a replacement sub-woofer or system...it's only 5 years old.

Re: No sound from front left speaker

Hello CC0715,

Thanks for getting in touch via the Bose Community. Welcome to the site.

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your Acoustimass 6 III system. From what you have described, it sounds like you have been able to identify through the process of elimination that the issue is not related to the speakers. What I would suggest, is that there could potentially be an issue with the cable that links from the Acoustimass to your AV receiver. I would encourage you to reach out to local support here to seek a replacement cable first to see if this helps to resolve the issue. Should the problem continue, a repair would be needed on the Acoustimass bass module.

Details for support can be found here.

Kind regards,

Jeff G

Re: No sound from front left speaker

I have exact same problem with Acoustimass 6 V System bought 2 years ago. I also checked all the speakers and they work fine. Any speaker that is plugged into the Front Left port does not work, so ruled out any issues with wiring or bad speaker. Don't know if there is any simple fix for this issue and Bose support / repair is very expensive when checked in website its about $160+tax don't know if it is only for checking or include any parts / labor cost.

Unfortunately I did not take any extended warranty trusting Bose quality as all my other Bose products are working great for years.
