Hi Solo5,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the community!

When you enable this mode, the soundbar adjusts the characteristics of the sound being played, to take into account the difference in how the sound behaves in your room when the speaker is mounted to a wall.

When a speaker is placed closer to a surface, the way the sound reflects off that surface changes. The closer to a reflective surface, like a wall,  your speaker is, the more bass frequencies will be reflected back into the room. This can make the sound seem less clear, and 'muddier'. This increases even further when speakers are placed in a corner, or close to multiple large reflective surfaces.

This effect is usually referred to as 'boundary loading' and the adjustments made, when you press and hold the dialogue mode, are to counteract this and ensure you still get that great Bose sound from your speaker.

Obviously, what will sound best to you will be subjective, so try enabling this mode and see how you like it. You can further adjust the sound characteristics of your speaker by following THESE steps and make sure it sounds the best it possibly can.

I hope this information helps. Let me know if you have any further questions!
