Syncing Soundbar 700 with an analog receiver

Hi,

I have a 40 years old receiver (Pioneer Rondo 2000) that is connected to my tv (Samsung nu7400) via optical cable+an RCA adapter, and today I got a new Bose Soundbar 700.

Is there a way that I can sync the sound from the tv so I can play it in the soundbar and the current speakers together?

Thanks!

Re: Syncing Soundbar 700 with an analog receiver

Not really, and I wouldn't suggest doing it anyway.   It will just sound messy with similar channels overlapping and coming from the wrong place.

You would get surround sound from your current speakers and (simulated) surround sound from the soundbar.  Even if you are just using your current rears, there is no way to separate the rear channel from the Soundbar (without using hte Bose Surround Speakers).

I can't think of any soundbar that you can use as a centre/front channel for a Receiver surround system.
