bose subwoofer 700 stop working

Hi Bose

As a customer of yours for years I am very disappointed with my recent purchase
I bought the whole set of home theater

Soundbar 700

Subwoofer 700

Speakers 230

And the experience is just awful !!

I have a Samsung Qled 7 - 75 inch TV

I did all the installation with the app step by step

The system connection with the HD (Receiver HDMI) cable does not work.

I can only connect to the system with Bluetooth

And even the Bluetooth doesn't automatically connect
Every time I turn on the TV, I have to go into settings
To connect to the system
It's really exhausting
Sometimes I just give up and don't use a sound system at all

In addition to everything the subwoofer just stopped working
# The power point works
# I replaced cable

looking to hear from you soon

Many thanks

Re: bose subwoofer 700 stop working

Hello Oriyanbeauty,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Bose Community. I am deeply sorry to hear that you have had this experience with your systems and would love to assist you further.

Firstly, can you please attempt to use an optical connection to the Soundbar to see if you are able to receive any audio from the system this way. When connecting a new setup to a TV you may need to adjust some settings on the TV to ensure that the audio is being corrected routed to the TV by checking inside the settings of the TV to see if there is an option related to Speakers, Audio Output or something similar, choose to not use the TVs speakers.

Please also check out this video here for some great HDMI troubleshooting steps that may resolve the issue you are experiencing with the HDMI connection.

Another great step would be to perform a standard reset on the system by following these steps below:

  • Turn the soundbar off
  • Unplug the soundbar power cord from the power outlet
  • Wait 30 seconds
  • Reconnect the power cord
  • Wait 30 seconds for the system to reboot

As well as resetting the Bass Module by these steps below:

  • Unplug the bass module power cord from the power outlet.
  • Wait 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the bass module power cord.
  • Wait 15 seconds for the bass module to power up and reconnect.

In regard to the issue that you are having connecting to the Soundbar to a Bluetooth device every time, can you please test this on another device that isn't the TV as many TV's won't automatically connect via Bluetooth.

I look forward to hearing back from you with the result of these steps and if anyone in the community has had similar issues please do let us know.

Kind Regards,
