THe sound from the surround speakers is completely muffled and just a fuzzy sort of noise.

also the sound from the sound bar has suddenly deteriated so as to be almost useless.

Is this a failure or the soundb barif so it looks like I have just wasred £720

Hey Maljudy,

Does this occur with all sources you have tested? Rear surround speakers are typically used for sound effects in 5.1 mixed movies/TV shows. You will almost never hear speech or music through these speakers unless the on-screen visuals call for this to occur behind the subject in the video. Please note there are also volume adjustments available within the Bose music app to increase the output level, but Adapt IQ is probably the best recommendation as user Rickatk suggested.

Kind regards,

Jeff G

Re: surround speakers

Hi maljudy17,

Thanks for writing in!  Sorry to hear about the troubles, but would be happy to help!

  • How is the soundbar connected to the TV?
  • Does this happen on different devices connected to the TV like the cable box or Blu Ray player?
  • Have you been able to test the sound on a streaming service through the Bose Music app or Bluetooth?
  • Has the soundbar and surround speakers been rebooted by removing power for 30 seconds?

Let us know so we can further assist!

Warm Regards,

Have you tried the Adapt iq process. That might sort things out.
