Bose® QuietComfort Noise Cancelling QC20 battery replacement

Hi There

Is there any chance I can replace the battery of the Bose QuietComfort® Noise Cancelling QC20?

I had it for a few years and the battery runs down fairly quickly now

Cheers

Hello franccar,

Thanks for reaching out via the Bose Community.

I'm sorry to hear about the battery performance issues you have been having with your QC20 headphones.

The battery in the product is not user-replaceable, so I would kindly suggest reaching out to support in your country to discuss service. Details can be found here.

Kind regards,

Re: Bose® QuietComfort Noise Cancelling QC20 battery replacement

no they do not offer this service. You can buy replacement battery in amazon and replace yourself if you have the skills. Is very bad that such expensive item cannot be serviced with a new battery, I find it outrageous. If you go for the DIY option be careful they have connected a chip to the battery that also needs transferring, without it, the item will not work. SO Bose knows that the battery can be easily replaced but they tried to make it difficult and added a chip to stop you replace it yourself, they prefer to create more items for the land fields and they want us to spend £200/£300 every few years. I am so disappointed in Bose.
