Bose Sound Sport Free right bud is not connecting

I just bought bose sound sport free in Big Camera Naha, Okinawa on June.5.2019.

At the beginning, there is nothing wrong with the sound sport free after I go back to Taiwan.

Unfortunately, after I use the sound sport free twice, the headphones on the right can not connect with the phone.

After the headphone charging, the headphones on the right still can not connect with the phone.

 

I just connect with the BOSE Customer Service team in Japan, they told  me I have to repaired or replaced in Japan.

Due to my sound sport free Within the warranty, it should be repaired for free.

But BOSE team in Taiwan ask for maintenance fees NTD 1000, if I want to repair.

Although I will go to Tokyo in 10/8-10/12, I still want to ask BOSE team in US, could you help to let bose team in Japan authorized repair to Taiwan team ?

Exchange policies can change within regions, and we do not have access to this information regarding the policies within Japan and Taiwan. But our Japan team would be correct in informing you that these exchanges can not be processed for international residences and cannot be shipped overseas. 

 

Have you been able to do any troubleshooting regarding this issue which you are experiencing with your SoundSport Free headphones? Myself and the community would be more than happy to do what we can to help resolve this issue for you. 

 

Can you please inform us to what device you are connecting your headphones too?

Hi   Community Support  team,
 
 
   Even charge the case ( earbud is inserted ), five indicators glow solid (the battery is fully charged), the bluetooth  indicator  of right bud do not  blinking (there is something wrong with the battery of right bud.)
 
 
The common solution on  owner’s guide I have tried, but still unable to resolve my problem.

Does the Bose Connect App identify your product when trying to connect?

I used iphone 7 to to connect with my headphones.

And when I trying to connect, the Bose Connect App can identify my headphones.

When the headphones in case, my phone can identify my headphones.

But if I take headphones out of case, my phone can not identify my headphones.

I do already update my sound sport free to 2.6.

But it still not work.

My friend acted as RD also help me to test the function, he told me the battery of right ear bud is not working.

Serial number: 423729
Purchase Date: 07.2018
After upgrading the software to version 2.6, the right earbud does not turn on.
problem with the battery right earbud.
Headphones used with phones iphone 7, iphone 8
Please help me in solving this problem.
There is no authorized Bose service in our republic.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having the same problem with your SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones.

 

Could you please confirm your location?

 

Have you tried resetting your headphones? You can do this by following these steps:

  1. Place the earbuds into the charging case
  2. Plug the charging case into a wall outlet using a USB charger and wait 5 seconds
  3. Unplug the USB cord from the charging case and wait 1 minute
  4. Remove the earbuds from the case and try again
