The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Bose SoundSport firmware 3.0.4 update issue

Before creating a new topic, please search the Community to avoid creating duplicate threads. If you are posting about a problem, the more of the below details you can include (if applicable) the easier it will be for others to try and help. Go to https://bose.life/2K1GbJl for a helpful post on how to find relevant information, including your firmware and app version information!

Bose product name

Bose SoundSport

Country

Hong Kong

Firmware Version

3.0.4

App Version

16.0

What devices were you using that were affected and what version are they on (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S9 on Android 11, iPhone X on iOS14, etc.)

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

After I update the firmware, all button is not working. The power button can power on the headphone, but cannot power off it. Sometimes, the headphone will turn the volume down it self, I need to press the volume button to stop is turning down.

I am sure that is cause by the firmware, because I have the same issue on my Bose Quietcontrol, and it is fixed by install the latest sound file with the firmware 3.0.3.

What environment do you experience the issue in? (e.g. noisy office, quiet kitchen, etc.)

Any Environment

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

After installed the firmware 3.0.3

Any troubleshooting steps you took

Re: Bose SoundSport firmware 3.0.4 update issue

Hello Jackyung and welcome to the Community!

Thanks for reaching out, I'm sorry to hear about your SoundSports. I'd be happy to help you.

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps since this issue occurred?

Can you also confirm if you have the SoundSport Frees or the SoundSport Wireless headphones?

Also, have you tried testing them with a different phone or tablet?

Looking forward to hear from you!

Re: Bose SoundSport firmware 3.0.4 update issue

Hello Liam_G!

Thanks for your reply. I have the SoundSport Wireless.

I tried to reset but it is not helpful. I am sure about it is cause by the firmware because my QuietControl 30 has the same issue and it is fixed by the latest firmware and language files update. I am a Bose fans, please help.

Thanks,

Jacky

Re: Bose SoundSport firmware 3.0.4 update issue

Hi Jessie, thank you for your reply. I believe that is cause by water, because of my bose quietcontrol has the issue again. And these devices have the issue after cycling. I think I need to buy a new one.
