Bose does NOT need to know my location

Bose Quietcontrol 30 Wireless Headphones

When turning on the noise cancelling part of my model 30 headphones, the app REQUIRES that I turn on the location function on my cellphone. It won't run without it.

Bose has zero need to know my location to run this app. This is simply and plainly an attempt by Bose to invade my privacy by tracking where I am when using their product. This requirement needs to be dropped immediately.

Re: Bose does NOT need to know my location

As far as I am aware it is actually a requirement of the BT-Low Energy system the app uses to connect, not Bose.

You can use it without the app with full control of noise cancelling, or you can install the app, set the settings the way you want and then uninstall the app.
