Connecting 2 QC Earbuds/Headphones to AppleTV

Apple’s tvOS 14 allows 2 sets of earbuds/headphones to be connected simultaneously (Audio Sharing) when using an AppleTV 4K. The feature is described here:

Apple AirPods and certain Beats headphones are listed as compatible equipment. 

I have tried without success to connect 2 pairs of brand new Bose QC Earbuds with the latest firmware installed (1.0.7).

Has Apple locked out Bose from this feature? I’m hoping not.

I know there are numerous devices on the market to multiply Bluetooth signals for earbud/headphone sharing but many reviewers complain of latency issues which make watching television frustrating.

Hi @RandyHuntCPA. I do not have the AppleTV 4K but in my experience with other Apple products they do limit some of the features available to just Apple or Beats products. Some of the technologies like this can only be supported within their own eco-system.  I do have an AppleTV 4th Gen and I am able to pair a number of different Bose products, including the QC Earbuds but one at a time only.
