Pairing Quiet Comfort Earbuds with apple watch

I am unable to pair my earbuds to my Apple Watch (5th gen).  I listen to both Apple Music and podcasts.  If I listen through my iPhone I can see the bose account as the audio.   However when I try to listen just with my Apple Watch I can’t connect to the bose qc’s.  I try to pair them through the watch’s Bluetooth but it can’t find the qcs.  I like the Bose but I can use both my sennheisers and ultimate ears without the iPhone being present when I go for walks.  

Any help would be appreciated

I had the same issue when I got mine a couple weeks ago.

Just went in and tried again today.

1.  Put the earbuds in my ears.

2. Pressed bluetooth button in case until it said ready to connect.

3.  Went into Bluetooth settings on watch and selected Earbuds.

4.  It connected but at first I did not get any sound out of the earbuds.

5  Went into setting again to click on earbuds to select them from paired devices and it has worked ever since through my watch.
