QC30 Left ear noise

I've been using QC30 earphone for a year and warranty has recently expired.

Yesterday I found that there is noise only in the left earbud.

When googling it, that seems to be frequent issues among QC30 users.

Anyway, I got to the local support(Korea, SEKI HE).

But I heard that they can't repair and I can exchange it to new one with discounted price.

The discounted price is 299000KRW(about 260USD).

(--> It is more expensive than the special offer in this website now.)

I can not understand this insufficient repair capability and poor exchange policy.

Should I pay 260USD again and again if QC30 breaks every year ?

I was really happy with this QC30 for a year, but now I'm really disappointed with this situation.

Is there any way to repair with proper price instead of expensive exchange ?

Re: QC30 Left ear noise

Hello all

Thank you for posting in the Community!  I'm sorry to hear about the update issues, but would happy to help!

When you updated the headset, was it through the Connect app on a mobile device, or on a PC with a USB cable?

Can you try and update the headset through our updater site HERE?

Does the noise happen whether there's music or not?

Let us know so we can further assist!

Warm Regards,

Re: QC30 Left ear noise

Dear Tony,
I did update the latest firmware at my Macbook pro..... Successfully updated and that's the reason why i got a problem with the static noise at my left earpiece.... I'm really disappointed and not happy with the outcome cos my warrant lapse 6 days ago....
That's maybe the reason why Bose service center here in Singapore don't entertain my complain....
Can you imagine the trouble it creates being a Bose user as what we expect a good quality of product the Bose are selling.....
Please let me know what to do and how i can fix this problem.
Thanks,
Edwin

Re: QC30 Left ear noise

Hello Dwin,

I apologize about the delay in response.

What devices are you using with the QC30? Both mobile devices and a computer? Have you been able to test the QC30 with other devices?

If the issue is consistent across all devices, it sounds like you will need to contact your local support team.

Regards,

Joel

Re: QC30 Left ear noise

Hi Joel,

Tested to all my devised (Iphone, Imac & Macbookpro).... All got this Static Noise at the left earpiece of my QC30, after i upgrade the firmware. I also tried to contact the bose service center here in Singapore but they ignore me.... If only i don't upgrade maybe my QC30 will still be fine.....

I will appreciate most if you could help me with this situation i'm experiencing now....

Thanks

Edwin
