QC30 for phone calls terrible

Hello all

 

Now that im working from home i am trying to use my Bose Headphones but everyone says that its like im in a tunnel and the sound quality is terrible. i have tested this myself and its really unclear?! 

 

any advice?!

The microphone is still terrible. so I have tested this on my laptop.

When the right headphone is in my ear and I talk it raises the microphone bars about 3 out of 20 bars.

 

When I take the right headphone out and speak it does a lot better. Is this normal? you don't expect headphones so expensive perform so terribly. A cheap £5 pair has better microphone functionality.

 

Is this normal? can anything be done?
