QuietComfort® 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones - Static in right earbud

Whenever I turn on noise cancellation I get constant static in the right ear bud.  I can still hear the audio of what I'm playing but the static is annoying.   I've tried it in different devices and it happens in all of them. 

 

I've tried filing a warranty claim online as I bought these less than a year ago but Bose's website automatically says I'm out of warranty even though their warranty policy is for one year and I bought these in June of 2019.   I've tried registering them and the screen goes nowhere when you click on the register my device button.   And trying to call anyone is pointless as its hours of waiting period and I've been disconnected on their end after waiting periods of time.  

 

Very frustrated.

Maybe solved.   After two disconnected phone calls I finally got through on the 3rd one (about 3 hrs total waiting on hold) and hopefully have a warranty claim filed now.
