If the reset step that @Digitalcrack2 has suggested didn't resolve your issue, I would recommend trying to disable in-ear detection and then attempting to power off the headset again. 

 

To do this please open the Bose Music app > Select the earbuds > Settings > In-ear detection > off.

Same here

 

earbuds in case and case closed overnight, every morning they are flat.  Not disconnecting from OnePlus 7T when in case

Hello, I follow @Digitalcrack2 @ and it worked almost for me

 

But I didn't need to disconnect from the phone. when I retire the earbuds from my ears and put back to the case hold the button of the case (the bluetooth one) and after few seconds this disconnected themselves from my phone. since then no more problems switch between iPad, iPhone, iMac, tantronics bluetooth transmitter.

Same here, Had to turn off Bluetooth each time I had used them. 

 

The solution

I did not have connect to power nor charging, holding down center button for 25sec until solid blue, , then place in ears, automatically connected to my phone again, as it did before, then replaced them in the case and they disconnected. 

 

Hope it stays this way.

Same here. Been driving me nuts.   I turned off the In-ear detection and it is disconnecting fine now.  Hopefully they will fix this so we can use that feature

Hi. 

I own the QC earbuds for a few months. I encountered this problem 2 or 3 times. Absolutely random. But the most annoying thing is regarding the fact that after taking them out of the case, i put them in my ear and i get no sound. I have to put them back, wait 5 seconds then take them out again.

I tried the 2 solutions offered in this thread. Neither solved the problem. I didn’t use them for a couple of months. Then I got them out and there was a firmware update, so I did that. Ever since, even with the earbuds in the case with lid closed, the earbuds just randomly connect with my iPhone 12 Pro Max – even when I am listening to something with my AirPods! That happens even with the Bose QC earbuds in another room, charging! This is intolerable.
