I bought my QC earbuds from a different country. It malfunctioned and I sent it to our local authorized Bose customer service. They agreed to replace my product because it is still under warranty. However, I was told that there was a handling fee that I need to pay because the replacement will come from the US.
I read some posts regarding return and replacement. Some said Bose will cover the shipping fee because of the warranty. Is it normal that I was asked to pay the handling fee?

First question would be what country are you in?
Bose normally seem to handle shipping (that may depend on the country though), but that would be assuming it's local shipping. If you move to a country where they don't have the local support for such, then I would assume they don't pay for international shipping.
