I can't say I've experienced any audio lag with my soundsport wireless. I only watch Youtube through a browser and never their app. Apparently their app is causing issues for some. Games I'm not into.
While watching your videos what source is it (YouTube, Vimeo, or something else) and is through an app or a browser? Either way is it on desktop or mobile? Also can you provide a link so others can test out the same video and see if they experience the same lag? Are your headphones up-to-date with the latest firmware?
Yeah, whether or not they play nice together with audio from various video sources seem to be all over the map. Some have sucess while the next person does not.

I eventually settled on keeping them, despite the issues. I use YouTube in safari.
After 3 months. Conclusion, they really are excellent, and since buying them ive used them every day. I’d advise not rushing to return as there are no perfect solutions out there that tick all of the boxes.

I bought bose soundsport free here in India, from a retail store at airport. There was no demo or product information given to me specific about audio video lag, only right side connectivity during calls, and absolutely no noise isolation or cancellation.
i contacted the retailer and they responded with a reply the product has no defects.
i contacted bose and they gave ZERO response. I also gave them an option to change my product to any other higher value bose product still i got ZERO response. I am amazed at such pathetic quality of customer care servise of bose!
i have emailed at in_support(at)bose.com but they just don’t respond! Is this how customers are treated at bose world wide? I gave them my emil id, my phone number, my home address, bill details but they just don’t respond! I went to a dedicated bose store and spoke to the agent there his response was to forward him the emails and he will take it up, but again since then its been 2 weeks but no response! The least bose can do is reply to emails irrespective of the issue/complaint.

I am sorry that you are unhappy with your purchase. Normally Bose authorized re-sellers have our headphones on display for you to test, we are sorry that the store did not in this instance.
If you are having issues with an audio delay on your headphones I would urge you to try the troubleshooting mentioned in this thread to look to resolve this issue.
The SoundSport Free headphones do not employ noise reduction technology, the headphones do have an integrated dual-microphone array located on the right earbud to allow the customer to use them during calls when connected to a smartphone that supports the Bluetooth® HFP profile. Call audio will be heard in the right earbud. In addition to traditional calls, the headphones will work with many apps that use Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), such as Skype or FaceTime.
