Tony, is there a way to pair the Free to a bluetooth device that does not display a device list? (e.g. bluetooth transmitter that has only single button for entering pairing mode and no other user interface.)

Thanks for the great question. That would depend on the transmitter. The connection method is the same, the device wouldn't matter. You would need to follow the instructions that came with your transmitter.

What if a guy doesn't have a local dealer? these will connect to my laptop but not my iphone. Ive tried everything ive seen in this thread. I find these to be pathetic for the price. Skull candy's bluetooth works better and they sound about the same for like 45 bucks vs the 200 you have to pay for these.

I just purchased my Soundsport 2 weeks ago. They were working fine until today.
Now they won't pair, the Bluetooth is not blue - its flashing white.
There is no voice telling me its on and connecting.
Close to $400 for a pair of headphones and they don't work?
I'd rather buy the $50 JBL.
The instruction manual that came with the headphones was also useless.

Let me tell you again.
1. The bluetooth on the left ear bud is flashing white.
2. There is no sound coming from the headphones
3. There is no bluetooth signal on the right ear bud
4. I have no idea where the power OFF button is if any
5. They are fully charged
