Hello RJF,

Thanks for posting.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues updating the Bose Connect app.

Have you tried restarting the iPad before reinstalling? Have you also tried to update to iOS 14.0?

I'll look forward to your reply.

I updated the Bose Connect app, but I haven't noticed anything new. Can you hint what new you added?

Hey wpwsl,

The Bose Music app should be available for download on any iPhone operating on iOS 12 or newer. I'd advise checking in your iPhone settings to see which software version your device is running, and updating this if needed. If you're unable to download due to Apple ID issues, try resetting your password, and attempt to download it again. Let me know how you get on!

I have no idea what is happening. I have a soundbar700 and soundtouch500.

used the music app and saw I was disconnected. Signed in and all my products missing.

went thru to add them and successfully connect them to app, successfully connect to wifi and then I get “product activation failed”.

factory reset my speaker ST500.
deleted app and reinstalled.
reset my router.

Now music app can see the ST500 but does not activate. Says it has to be on the same WiFi network which it is.

reset phone.  tried again. Now I get product activation failed again. And the ST500 is offline and unable to work as a speaker.

They are on same network.
local access is enabled.

haven’t done it to the SB700 as don’t want to ruin that.

what needs to happen to fix this?

Hi CaptYoho,

I'm sorry to learn you've run into some difficulties with setting up your SB500 and SB700. From what you've explained, it seems you're following the correct process and connecting to the correct network for set up. My only thoughts of what could be stopping you are settings on your router, preventing you from activating your product.

Therefore, take a look at the recommend router settings, and make any adjustments to your router where needed. Your ISP should be able to help you log into your router directly and adjust these settings. Give this a try and let us know how you get on!
