Bose Music App Update – 4.0.1 - September 9th, 2020

On September 10th, a new update for the Bose Music App will be available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to customers who have auto-updates enabled. iOS customers that wish to have the update immediately can go to the app stores and download manually. Android users will have to wait till their device becomes part of the roll out. Customers downloading for the first time will get the new app.

Alexa Voice4Video Advanced Input Switching

Smart soundbar owners that have Alexa set up as their voice assistant can now use Alexa to change the input on their TV. Customers can now say, "Alexa, switch to XBOX" or "Alexa, switch to HDMI2" for added functionality using our Voice4Video feature.

 

Bose Music Inbox Integration

Users will now be able to access important messages related to their products, such as new feature announcements, through an in-app inbox.

 

Improved Product Discovery Troubleshooting and Connection Help

  • We’ve improved the "Can't Find Your Product". This improved troubleshooting is targeted to the specific product you are trying to discover, helping you get their product into a discoverable state.
  • Users on iOS will also be presented with improved Connection Help information if their already set up smart speaker or soundbar becomes undiscoverable in the app. This includes step-by-step guides to help get your products back online.

 

Frames Tempo, Tenor, and Soprano

Users will be able to connect your new Frames to Bose Music.

 

Bose Smart Soundbar 300  

App support for the Bose Smart Soundbar 300 launching in mid-September that will allow customers to connect, control and configure their new soundbar.

 

iOS14 Support

My Bose sountouch 20 has today been unable to play any stations except uk ones.

I have 4 preset north american classical music stations they now no longer play.

when searching for them manually it says nothing available.

help please

This is a Tunein licensing issue, so nothing to do with Bose.

I just returned my Bose NC 700 headphones last week because my Bose Music app was not discovering my headphones. The problem was they were replacement headphones that I wanted over a week for because my originals had power problems. 

 

I'm now 2 weeks of trying to work from home with no headphones. It's so hard to get a hold of anyone that can support me. I used to brag about Bose support, but having to return the headphones and wait so long for replacement has made it really hard.

 

I've tried contacting support but they only provide canned responses and I have trouble hearing / understanding. 

 

Wane, can you help? Thank you.

I had the app previously but just bought the 700 headphones. I updated the app to the newest version but can not access the EQ settings. Is there a way to solve this or is there going to be a big fix update sent soon???

Hi @LBJR,

 

Welcome to the community, thanks for reaching out. 

 

Please update the firmware of your headphones to update to 1.7.1 this should resolve your problem and you will be able to access the EQ.

Hi. I bought new headphones yesterday, but the program does not see them. The store said that no additional settings are needed. Maybe you have some information how to fix the problem here?
