When a speaker this small sounds this good, you’ll never leave it behind. The Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth speaker delivers unmatched sound for a speaker this size. Its rugged design and durable strap let you take it everywhere you go. It’s waterproof from the inside out, so even if it falls in the pool, just pull it out and keep on playing.

Great little product, sound is great and fully rounded from a speaker of it compact size.

ould do with a accessory to attacks to thin straps etc, strap work well and large objects but not thin objects.

Great feature of creating party mode or a sterio pair, just a pitty, my colour speaker doesnt play nice with it.

May be could consider having just one app for those of us who also have wifi speakers

Hello Sahar,

Great question! The SoundLink Micro features Bluetooth Core Spec 4.2, and supports both A2DP 1.3.1 and AVRCP 1.6 profiles.

Thanks!

Is SoundLink Micro compatible with AAC and apt-X, or just SBC?

I recently bought the soundlink Micro and I am already in love with it! All thumbs up for Bose how they made a tiny speaker sound so big!

I was wondering if there are any plans for a travel case for the speaker or any other accesoires?

Hi LoveBose,

Thanks for the question.  The SoundLink Micro is only compatible with SBC.

Thanks,

Hi

I have one of these little speakers - very impressed.  Can I get another one and have them work in stereo mode - some seperation between L and R

I Understand that using the Boss Connect App you can add a pair of speaker as stereo, i think this appies to the newer generation of speakers, i think the sound link micro is part of the newer generation.

Thanks Grove, I appreciate the response.  I did look at using the sound touch app but the micro was not a listed Device and as I believe the connection to Bose speakers through this software is via Wifi which the micro does not have (just Bluetooth).  I did see a YouTube video of a guy (riding a scooter - yeah i know) with two micros on his handlebars, but as it was in German it was not clear to me whether he was just sending a single signal to both units or that there was some channel sepertation - as per the sound touch app.

I think there is another bose app called connect it has a "+" in a all white icon, its mainly for bluetooth. the instruction online for the micro speaker i think also explain how to pair them as a stereo pair using the buttons on the speaker

I unboxed my brand-new Bose Soundlink Micro Bluetooth speaker.  Really liked the feel and size.

However, the 'function' button between the volume up and volume down buttons doesn't seem to work as designed. While audio is playing, pressing the function button pauses the audio, as it should.  Pressing it again is supposed to resume playing the audio, but it doesn't!

I've installed the Bose Connect app which also downloaded and installed an update to the device.

Is this an app failure or product failure?  Are there any fixes to get this speaker working as designed?

Is this product compatible with VoIP calls as well as cellular calls? I can't get it to work with either Whatsapp or FB Messenger's calling features.

Hello sbashai1

Thanks for posting in the community!

Our Bluetooth speakers with built in microphones for communication operate on the Bluetooth HFP (Hands Free Profile).  This is the profile that is used in phone calls through Android and iPhones.  A lot of VoIP services rely on HSP (Handset Profile).  Because of this, some users may experience strange behaviors with the calls.

Warm Regards,
