So my problem is exactly in the title. I have the speaker connected by bluetooth to my laptop. After a recent reset of my computer, it completely shuts off as soon as the top closes. Not sleeps. Literally shuts down. That being said the Colorlink speaker turns itself on after I manually turn it off and talks ALL. NIGHT. LONG. I am thisclose to throwing it out of a window. I need the voice prompts to let me know when it connects, but I don't know what to do. At least once or twice an hour it says it is connected to my laptop or it says it has a full or medium battery and it is ready to pair.I shut it off again each time and 10 minutes later the power light starts blinking lighting up my entire room and it starts talking again. Also, I got home from work today and it was talking. It didn't do this before, it is only about a month and a half old. I haven't updated or changed any settings not tht I would know how to anyway. I have 2 speakers and my orange one is fantastic it doesn't do any of that. The blue one is the devil himself. Any ideas?
Thanks for posting in the Community! Sorry to hear about the troubles, but would be happy to help!
Can you try and turn off Bluetooth on the computer to see if for some reason the speaker is auto connecting to it?
If this doesn't seem to help, can you try and clear the pairing list of the speaker by holding down the Bluetooth button for 10 seconds?
Let us know how it goes!

Thank you for your help. I did try that, it didn't work. I also tried to remove it from my computer and then add it again and that didn't work either. This speaker has only been talking for about a week. It never did this before. It was fairly quiet last night only talking about 2 times. FAR less than the past few nights. As far as I can tell I haven't done anything differently in using it.
This seems odd that the issue is still happening after clearing the pairing list on the SoundLink Color. At this point after trying that step, I would suggest contacting support via phone.
If you go here, choose your region, scroll to the bottom of the page, select "Contact Us," and a phone number will be displayed.
If this continues to happen after service, I would suggest contacting a computer specialist about your computer

This is a common "feature" introduced with a firmware update in February 2018. Has not been addressed in the update which came in May 2018.
