Bose Soundlink micro getting discharged overnight from 100% to 90%

Hi,
I bought a Bose Soundlink micro on the 18th of October 2018. In India.
I love the speakers. I'm very happy with them.
The Bose connect app updated my speaker software when I first opened it.
And I haven't got any updates since then.
My Soundlink micro is running on the version 2.6.0

The first one or two times I charged it, to a 100%, it hasn't reduced the battery charge from a 100% unless I played music for quite some time but since the last two charges, I've been observing that when I charge the speaker for 4 hours before going to bed, the speaker says it's charged to a 100%.
I don't switch on my speaker till the morning but when I do, it says it has 90% charge.
It means it has discharged 10% of battery overnight even without me switching on the speakers.
Ive been charging my speakers when it has a charge of 20% left.
I've tried resetting my speaker but no luck.
This problem has really put me off.
It would be great if someone can please help me out with this.

Thanks

Hi Tony
I did what you told me to and
I'm really glad to say, you've solved my problem successfully.
I drained out the battery till it went dead and charged it to full. Now The battery indicator on my Soundlink micro is in sync and is showing me the right percentage of battery.

Thanks a lot!!

Re: Bose Soundlink micro getting discharged overnight from 100% to 90%

Hi Ahish,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. In some cases, it is possible for the battery status indicator and the “remaining charge level” to become out of sync after a period of inactivity. Running the battery down until you see the red battery status indicator illuminate and then reapplying power should resolve this.

If you could please give that a try and let us know.

Re: Bose Soundlink micro getting discharged overnight from 100% to 90%

Hi Tony,
I had a question, can you please tell me at what percentage of battery is it best for me to charge my Soundlink micro?
For better battery longetivity.

Re: Bose Soundlink micro getting discharged overnight from 100% to 90%

Hello Ahish,

Thank you for the question.

I personally only charge mine if it gets below 30% or if I know I'll be using it first thing in the morning the next day.

The type of battery that is used in our products does not have a "memory" issue like older battery technology, so I wouldn't be concerned with this.

Regards,

Joel
