Thank you for reaching out to the community. In some cases, it is possible for the battery status indicator and the “remaining charge level” to become out of sync after a period of inactivity. Running the battery down until you see the red battery status indicator illuminate and then reapplying power should resolve this.

I personally only charge mine if it gets below 30% or if I know I'll be using it first thing in the morning the next day.
The type of battery that is used in our products does not have a "memory" issue like older battery technology, so I wouldn't be concerned with this.
