Sorry to hear you are having this problem. Sometimes these issues can be resolved by putting the product into "ship mode"
Putting the system into ship mode reboots the processor, but does not erase any settings, like language selection or paired Bluetooth devices.
Note: The system must be re-connected to power to wake it from ship mode.
Give that a try and let us know.

This is the same issue I have with this unit. LIttle frustrated that they didn't bother to tell you about the shipping mode. Still not resolving though as I get it blinking red for about 15-20 seconds then it stops. Doesn't appear to be doing anything and never charges or starts up.
Bose used to be better quality. Owned <1year and enquiring with Bose support at same time.
