One more time Low Volume on Revolve Soundlink

Hi everybody,

my Revolve Soundlink has a very low volume when connected via Bluetooth. I tried all the suggestions in the topics.

There is no problem when the speaker is connected with a USB cable.

My computer is running Microsoft Windows 8.1 with Bluetooth 4.0.

 

Any suggestions?

Dear Prince_O,

 

sorry for the delay in the answer, but I was "on the road" for two weeks, not having with me the Bose Revolve.

 

A did the reset of the iPhone (where the Bose Connect App is downloaded) and I'm able to change the volume of the music, played by the PC, both from the PC and from the App.

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your SoundLink Revolve Speaker, I would be happy to help you with this issue. So I would recommend that you check to make sure your speaker has that latest software updates, try using another source to stream music, reduce the number of applications running on your device, reset your speaker and your device.

 

To reset your speaker:

• Unplug the speaker from power, then turn it on using battery power

• Press and hold the Multi-function (•○•) button for 10 seconds until the product lights glow, then release the button.

Hi Zoe,

 

the software is the latest (Firmware 1.5.0). Using an other source (iPhone or other smartphones) the speaker works properly. Also using an USB Cable from my PC the speaker is working louder. The computer is not running other applications.

 

Any other ideas?

Okay, any luck on any of the other things I mentioned? I also have a few additional questions for you: 

 

 

• Have you added any new devices?

• Have you tried connecting another device to the revolve?

• Have you added any new devices to your household that would be interfering with the product?

I connected an iPhone and a Huawei Smartphone to the revolve. What you mean with household?

 

In any case, there are not are periphericals connected with the computer.

Okay, so the issue is with the Bluetooth connection on the computer, has this device been previously connected with the volume working or has this issue always occurred when using the speaker via Bluetooth from the computer?

I have the Bose speaker since two weeks, and the volume was always low.

Hello Zoe,

I'm using MPC-HC that is part of the KLite Codec for Windows.

But after your question I tryed to play video and audio files with an other player, DivX Player. Nothing changed.

 

I noticed that there is another problem:

when the Revolve is connected via USB I can use the Volume's Buttons (+ and -) on the Revolve. But when the connection is via Bluetooth the buttons are not working.

 

A question: it is true that the Bose Devices are guaranteed only with Apple and Android?

 

Could be possible that the problem is the AVRCP?

Thank you for the information you have provided. It is most helpful. 

 

As long as your device uses the Bluetooth Protocol A2DP there should be no issues connecting.

 

I can confirm that I have tested the connection to a Windows 10 PC and have also experienced the drop in volume. However, I was able to control the volume using the buttons on the revolve itself. If you don't mind, could you provide the model of your PC so we can look into this further for you?
