I'm trying to use my SoundLink Mini with a PC running Windows 7.
The PC finds the speaker and adds it as a Bose Mini SoundLink device, but driver software installation fails with "No driver found" messages for two generic Bluetooth Peripheral Device objects. If I look at the properties for the device, I see those same two generic objects.
I ran the software update on bose.com and it completed without errors, deleted the Bose device, restarted, and added the device again, same results.
Using the Troubleshoot option leads to the same "No driver found" errors.
Thanks so much for posting in the community and for doing all of that troubleshooting. It sounds like your PC's Bluetooth drivers need to be updated or installed - I would look up your computer manufacturer's website and there you should be able to download those drivers.
Let me know if this helps?
I hope you're having a lovely week!
It's a Dell Optiplex 7010 which has no built-in Bluetooth. It's a generic USB Bluetooth dongle. I just ordered another one from Amazon to see if that's the problem.
Thanks so much for the update - let me know how it goes once you receive the dongle?
I hope that you have a wonderful and peaceful New Years!
