Soundlink micro speaker charger does not fit

I recently bought a Soundlink micro speaker and the USB charger in the packaging does not fit into the speaker (it goes half way in). Obviously, the speaker does not get charged even after kept for couple of hours. The LED charging does not glow when connected to a power supply. If I hold or keep pressing the power button, sometimes 3 LEDs blink for sometime and goes blank.

What is happening with the product. I didn't expect the product to be in such a bad state! Very dissapointed.

Could somone please tell me how should I return the product and get a new replacement ?
