Bowling for Bose

We scored a gig at a local bowling alley lounge this Saturday night. I am stoked because:

1. This was on my Gig Bucket List

and

2. We get to wear our own shoes.

See you all at the Family Bowl in Knoxville.

Re: Bowling for Bose

Hey John,

Congratulations on getting the gig.

Thanks for the food for thought... "gig bucket list".

Does tapping your feet feel different in another man's shoes?

And needless to say, but irresistable: Have a ball!

Trying to keep a positive FRAME of mind going into this.

We didn't have any other gigs to SPARE.

Hope we do not STRIKE out.

Re: Bowling for Bose

That was a bunch of fun. The Right Up Your Alley Lounge had a great stage. The room was kind of small - but it was completely isolated (sound wise) from the bowling area. They didnt bother us - and we didnt bother them.

We had a bunch of friends in the audience - but the patrons from the bowling alley (as they came into the lounge to stand in line for their beers and shots) all seemed to be enjoying the music (lots of head bobbing).

It wasn't a paying gig (birthday party for our guitar player's wife) - but there are tons of worse ways to spend a Saturday night. I would do it again in a heart beat.

The freebee's are always good gigs!
The audience gets more than their money's worth.

Re: Bowling for Bose

Sounds like a blast, John, I might have to put that on my "bucket list"!

Best Wishes,
Jeff
