Connecting a T1 Tone Match to a Yamaha Stereo Reciever

We are gigging in a restaurant/bar that demands we hook into their house system. They are using a "regular" stereo component level Yamaha receiver. There are two RCA jacks on the wall behind the stage. I have tried both the Main out and the Aux out, and nothing works. Can anyone help me with this?

Re: Connecting a T1 Tone Match to a Yamaha Stereo Reciever

Hi Max,

Thank you for joining the Bose Portable PA Community.

This is tough to diagnose.  If you are using splitter cable  1/4 inch Tip-Ring-Sleeve to two 1/4 inch Tip-Sleeve jacks through to two RCA, try disconnecting one of the RCA connections.  The outputs from the T1® are balanced mono. When you connect that to a stereo input, the LEFT and RIGHT sides will often cancel each other out.

One way to test if that's the problem is to disconnect one side of the stereo input.

Does that help?
