Hi NAW-T-BOY,

Here are the recommended settings from the F1 Model 812 Owner's Guide.

Do whatever sounds best to you for your given application and situation.

Thanks...I just realized I've been using the SIgnal to F1 and then to the 812 but I had WIth SUB and HPV filter on the sub selected.  I'm going to try and use the thru instead.  By using the HPV setting was I filtering out something to the tops?

Hi NAW-T-BOY,

If you run

Source to F1 Subwoofer with F1 Subwoofer HPF and the line out has only frequencies above 100 Hz.

The F1 Model 812 goes down to 52 Hz (-3dB) so you are missing out on the frequencies from 52-100 Hz.

However if you set the F1 Model 812 EQ to WITH SUB you also cut out the frequencies below 100 Hz that are heard from the F1 Model 812. However, the line out (to the F1 Subwoofer) is still full range.

You can't harm anything by putting the switches in odd combinations. So experiment and do whatever sounds best to you.
