Hi, I play in a duo and we have two L1 compacts, overall they work great. Sometimes we play using both L1 compacts. I noticed that sometimes it sounds like we are getting some sound interference, the two modules creating different sound waves that essentially collide. When using two systems is there a specific minimum distance the two units need to be at?

I believe it's 20 feet minimum for dual mono, the link below is to an article that discusses this issue.

Summary(from the article)

Hi sjrippe, have you tried using each L1 Compact system discretely? You connect to one unit and your duo partner to the other - no interconnects between the two. This should eliminate the interference and should result in better localization, clarity and better feedback control. It is worth a try.
I play a Tyros 5 through one L1 Compact what is the minimum distance between speakers
We are talking about the minimum distance between two L1 Compacts. If you have only one L1 Compact there is concern about distance.
Have I misunderstood your question?
Hi ST I am considering buying a further L1 Compact in order to get stereo sound from my tyros 5, when I play at home in a small room I was thinking of an L1 compact either side of my keyboard due to the fact I don't have the Yamaha onboard monitors would this be ok
Thanks, I understand now.
Keyboards and stereo are a special case because keyboard monitors are usually on either side of the keyboard. A couple of L1 Compacts should be fine like that.
