Muting iPhone alert sounds on S1 Pro?

Does anyone have know how to mute unwanted alert sounds (beeps, buzzes, rings, etc.) while using an iPhone wirelessly with the S1 Pro?  I love the idea of using my iPhone music during breaks, but when I get a text or email message, the alerts come blaring through the speaker.  This is unacceptable during a gig.  Any ideas anyone?  Thanks!

This only happened to me one years ago ! Just put your phone on airplane mode so nothing comes through but you can still use Bluetooth 

also switch the button on the side of your phone to mute

I tell Siri,  "Do Not Disturb" and all those notifications stop.
